Course Description:

This class is intended for stitchers who have some basic knowledge of needle arts or embroidery. Must be confident in threading a needle, and some prior knowledge of stitches is a benefit. The finished project in this class is a 6” decorative hoop picturing the Smokey mountains, a mama black bear and her cubs, and flowers/greenery.

Over 6 weeks we will learn more obscure stitches than the basics, including: brick stitch, lazy daisy, turkey work, and French knots, in addition to our more classically used stitches like backstitch, seed stitch, and satin. Each week we will tackle new stitches and their corresponding placement in our pattern.

Level: Intermediate
