Course Description:
In this fun 6-week class, students in grades 3–8 will learn the basics of playing the ukulele—no prior experience required! Students will explore simple chords, strumming patterns, and basic music concepts while playing popular songs and singing along.
By the end of the course, students will be able to play several songs independently, accompany themselves or others, and understand foundational music skills that transfer to any instrument.
Course Highlights:
- Tuning and caring for your ukulele
- Playing basic chords (C, G, Am, F, and more)
- Simple strumming patterns
- Reading chord charts
- Group playing and sing-alongs
Each student should bring their own ukulele. If your child needs an instrument, you can purchase one from the instructor. Please email Callie.Tucciarone@gmail.com by September 17.

Instructor Bio:
Callie Tucciarone is a musician from Marietta, GA and graduated from Georgia College in 2014 with her degree in Music Education. Over the past decade, she taught elementary music in Fulton County Schools and worked in Human Resources at FineArtsMatter. Currently, she teaches private piano lessons, group piano classes, and works as a substitute teacher. Callie loves sharing the joy of playing piano and other instruments with her students!
