Acrylic Brushes
Synthetic bristles are great for acrylics, but you may use whatever you already have. You don’t need a lot of brushes, just be sure to bring at least one large (2 or 3 in.) for backgrounds, a medium flat, and a small flat. You may have anything else you may already have.

Acrylic Paints
If you are new to painting, here are some suggestions for colors. However, if you have other favorite colors, that’s fine. You may bring any other colors that you already have.

Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Turquoise, Purple, Brown, Black
Fluorescent colors - any that you prefer

Canvas
One canvas for each session, we will work on sizes 16 by 20” or smaller.

Paint palette
Bring a disposable paper palette pad, or another type of flat palette; an old frame with glass or wax-coated paper works just fine. Paper plates are NOT good, nor palettes with wells.

Other Supplies Suggestions (optional)
Medium - a small container of gloss or matte medium, any brand (you may also use only water and skip the medium)
Palette knife
Paper towels or rags
Spray bottle
Any texture-making objects, such as a comb

Fall in love with acrylic by exploring how to create representational paintings in a loose painterly way. This is a unique approach that combines contemporary concepts with traditional techniques. You will paint a variety of different subject matter at each class, such as florals, wildlife, landscapes, cityscapes, portraits & more, and finish a painting by the end of each session. Our instructor, award-winning professional artist Diana Toma, will demonstrate the technique at each class and provide individual guidance as you progress with your artwork. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this class is designed to inspire and elevate your artistic skills to new heights.
