Supply List:
All items can be purchased from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Canvas Board or Stretched Canvas: Purchase two or three in either size 9" x 12" or 11" x 14”

Paints: There are plenty of Acrylic Paint sets available at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Please choose between an 8-24 color set (approximately four oz. tubes). These sets are reasonably priced, and you can explore your own personal palette. If you wish to purchase individual paints (approximately 4 oz tubes), here's a comprehensive list suitable for both beginners and seasoned artists.
Titanium White
Turquoise Blue or Green
Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna
Cadmium Yellow and Yellow Light
Raw Umber
Ochre
Veridian Green
Ivory Black
Mars/Carbon Black
Dioxazine Purple
Cadmium Red
Light Green Permanent
Alizarin Crimson
Cerulean Blue

You will need a palette. I use a plastic Palette Paper holder from Masterson Enterprise or from Master's Art Products. It has a blue plastic sealable top, which keeps your paints intact during travel. The disposable palette paper that fits inside is Strathmore Palette Paper. I use only white palette paper, OR you can use plastic or Styrofoam plates.

Various Brushes: Filberts and/or Flats - Numbers 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, as well as any size fan brush.
Plastic Water Containers: Please bring 3-4 containers (such as yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, or carry-out containers, etc.).

Acrylic Medium – Matte appx. 8 oz. (Liquitex makes a good one, and it lasts forever - it also softens your paints, allowing them not to dry so quickly)

Mist Spray Bottle and Paper Towels

****** PLEASE BRING YOUR SUPPLIES TO THE FIRST CLASS, AS WE'LL JUMP INTO PAINTING THAT FIRST DAY!

Additional materials may be required as we progress through the class.
See you in class!

This class is open to anyone interested in painting with acrylics. Whether you are a beginner or have 20 years of experience, the class is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow as a painter. Each week, the instructor will give a brief demonstration on an acrylic painting technique. You can start your paintings by selecting from plenty of examples the instructor will have on hand, or you are more than welcome to bring your own material and have the time and space to work on it. This class is designed to be informative, productive, and reassuring. The instructor has 35 years of experience teaching all levels of painting.

*Please note that there will be NO CLASS on Tuesday, November 25, 2025! *
