Students will learn key pastel techniques and apply them in a variety of ways. There will be a focus on application methods that will range from traditional to modern. You’ll learn the basics, while being able to explore methods that best suit your aesthetic! We’ll discuss the keys to good compositions, and create vivid works of art in a variety of subjects. Classes will include demos, reference materials, and individualized instruction for all levels.

Instructor Bio:
Katharine Norman is an experienced art educator with over ten years of teaching experience. Skilled in digital to traditional art mediums, original research, art history, and curriculum development. Katharine holds a master’s degree in art education from the University of Florida with an emphasis in Visual Culture. She is a member of both the Georgia and National Art Educators Association and is a resident of Sandy Springs.
